Professional Healthcare Platform Work

Swing Therapeutics | Full-Stack, Mobile, Cloud, Internal Tools

Led engineering work across production mobile applications, internal web platforms, backend APIs, cloud/serverless services, and data workflows in a healthcare technology environment. Focused on improving developer experience, release reliability, operational tooling, and system maintainability while collaborating with product, QA, support, and internal stakeholders.

Overview

At Swing Therapeutics, I led engineering work across a production healthcare technology platform — spanning mobile applications, internal web tools, backend services, and cloud infrastructure. This page stays high-level; detailed implementation stories are better suited for interviews.

Scope of Work

  • Improved mobile development and release workflows for production applications
  • Built and maintained internal operational tools and web platforms
  • Modernized backend services and API layers supporting product features
  • Supported cloud-based data workflows and serverless infrastructure on AWS
  • Contributed to CI/CD pipelines, environment management, and deployment reliability

Technologies Used

  • React Native and React with TypeScript for mobile and web surfaces
  • Node.js and NestJS for backend APIs and service layers
  • AWS serverless services with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tooling
  • REST APIs, authentication integrations, and third-party service connections
  • Operational tooling for internal teams and engineering workflows

Engineering Focus Areas

  • Developer experience — tooling and workflows that help the team ship with confidence
  • Release reliability — consistent build, test, and deployment practices across environments
  • System maintainability — code structure, review standards, and patterns that scale with the team
  • Operational tooling — internal tools that reduce manual work and improve visibility
  • Delivery speed — improving how quickly the team can move from implementation to production safely

Collaboration

  • Collaborated with product, QA, support, and internal stakeholders on priorities and delivery
  • Mentored engineers through code review, pairing, and technical guidance
  • Coordinated release planning and production issue response across engineering and support
  • Helped define engineering standards and architecture patterns adopted by the broader team

What I Learned

Working in a regulated healthcare environment reinforced that reliability, maintainability, and clear communication matter as much as feature delivery. Leading across mobile, web, backend, and infrastructure taught me how to balance short-term delivery with long-term system health — and how much delivery speed improves when operational tooling and release workflows are treated as first-class engineering work.
